Clay is a Christian cowboy that has been a speaker for 20 years in cowboy churches and rodeo camps. He currently resides in Gardnerville, Nevada where he goes to LifePoint Church.

As a child, Clay was a successful actor with his first role in The Cowboys, with John Wayne, at the age of nine. He went on to act in a number of movies and television shows before leaving the profession to pursue his dream of a world championship.
