Where We Came From

December 2009

I know that all of us have a different story of where we came from; our families, most of us can trace back several generations. I think that it is safe to say that without a doubt, our great great grandparents came to America in pursuit of freedom, and an opportunity to prosper and take care of their families to give them a future and hope. The founding fathers of our country fought primarily for religious freedom from government control. They did their best to give us a constitution that would ensure those rights to every American. That is what has made this nation great for over 200 years. I am so thankful to have been able to live my dream, only in a place like America could this actually come true.

I get frustrated with people that seem to not understand the basic values of freedom and moral responsibility. With the explosion of informational capabilities, I think that we are exposed to so much more information on the way our political process works. The crooks can't hide so easily anymore. I hope that through the election process, the tea party movements, and the hard working salt-of-the-earth people of our nation that are our backbone can root out the crooks one by one and get our nation back on course to the standards that provide freedom from government control and opportunities for our children for years to come.

Our country has been fighting for freedom at home and abroad for over 200 years. The cost of freedom around the world or within our own borders will always come at a price. Thank you to our armed forces, the men and women that protect our borders and to all the people across our land that are fighting the good fight for freedoms in our daily lives.

God bless you all, and may you have a prosperous and happy new year.
