Staying the Course 2009

November 2009

Over this past year, I have personally seen some individuals and families undergo great challenges and hardships. Some battling with health issues, others battling financial situations; and in the midst of our busy lives we see good, honest, hard working, God fearing people go through these challenges in life. Some of these people are personal friends that we pray for that they can overcome what they are facing and get to the other side in victory. Life brings challenges to all of us.

Matthew 7:24 talks about two men. One man builds his house upon a rock and the other man builds his house upon sand. The same storm comes upon both men, but the one that was built upon the rock stands. I have seen this principle played out in my own life and others, also. I have always been inspired and blessed to know people that have the courage to stay the course regardless of what might be going on in their lives.

We not only face personal challenges, but we are all facing challenges in the course of our nation. It seems to be intensifying as each month goes by. I am a firm believer that doing good will always overcome evil; that doing things right, personally and collectively, will always come out a winner. No matter what we may face in our future, if we are optimistic and stay the course, I believe we will be successful. May God bless you.

May you and your families have a wonderful holiday season and Happy Jesus birthday!
